Elizaveta Filips (b.1997, Rostov-on-Don, Russia) studied at Moscow Architectural University, Russia and gained a BA in Fine Art from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. An emerging artist, of Ukrainian heritage, Filips is now based in Paris, France.
Her loose, expressive drawing is the basis for large-scale abstract works on canvas that explore emotion and colour. Filips creates a dynamic sense of chaos and depth through the layering of pastel, charcoal and paint, creating an intimacy with the viewer.
Her works can be found in private collections in Russia, Italy, France and the United States.
