WHO WE ARE
Now in its twelfth successful year, Janet Rady Fine Art represents a wide range of cutting edge Contemporary Arab and Iranian artists as well as International artists.
Based between London and the United Arab Emirates, Gallery Director and Curator, Janet Rady is a Specialist in Contemporary Art from the Middle East, with thirty years’ experience of the International Art Market including Leading Auction Houses and Major Commercial Galleries. Born in Malta, Janet first visited the Middle East in 1974 when she went to Iran and subsequently lived there from 1983-84. She now travels regularly to the region.
Janet Rady holds a Masters Degree in Islamic Art History from the University of Melbourne and a BA from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. She is a member of the Arab British Chamber of Commerce and sits on the Advisory Council of CARAVAN. Janet also sits on the Council of the Iran Society, and is a nominator for the V&A Jameel Prize. She is a curator for the Benetton Foundation Imago Mundi Project and a Judge for the BEHNAM BAKHTIAR AWARD.
Janet has guest curated exhibitions for the peacebuilding NGO CARAVAN Arts including the I AM touring exhibition of 31 women artists from the Middle East and an exhibition of 38 Premier Bahraini, Egyptian and Lebanese artists entitled "KHALIL GIBRAN: A Guide for our Times" at Sotheby's London. She has also edited the book “33 Artists… 33 Islands… A Kingdom of Art" - a comprehensive survey of the artists of Bahrain. Janet is currently curating an exhibition of works by Amin Roshan at Rossi & Rossi in London and a VR exhibition entitled Let's Get Lost (Let Them Send out Alarms) V2.0 by Firouz FarmanFarmaian.
WHAT WE DO
Janet Rady Fine Art offers bespoke curatorial and consultancy services to Clients incorporating all aspects of Collection Management. We also offer independent, impartial advice and assistance with purchasing and selling artworks by Middle Eastern and other artists, either privately or at auction.
Our Clients include private individuals, corporations, art advisors and interior designers from the UK, USA, Europe, Egypt, Lebanon, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Iran, and we are proud also to have placed works in institutions such as the British Museum, V&A, Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, CA.
