Thames Routes series

‘In this series I have focused on human interactions with the river. The works show the city skyline and the flowing tidal water which passes the buildings, carrying goods and transporting people. In Tideway at Putney, the epic scale of the river landscape envelops tiny people who are walking along the shore at low tide. In other paintings the built environment seems to grow from its banks.’
