Every Last Drop, 2021

A figure made of blue waves dives down against a background of words that form a stream of consciousness: ‘When I have that dream – the one where I can breathe underwater – it’s amazing, then realise I am drowning, waking up to a storm, listening to the rain, thunder starts as I take a shower, watch the water running down my skin, think of the time I went swimming with a friend in the rough sea, I didn’t care if it snarled at me, and that painting I loved, in the deepest oceans, and yesterday when I walked into the soft and gentle sea and I saw that it was me, coming home to myself, every last drop.’
