Mireille Boustany

Biography

Born and raised in Beirut, Mireille Boustany graduated from Alba with a diploma in visual arts in 1991. In 1994, she attended an in-depth training course in serigraphy, sculpture, and engraving in Cergy-Pontoise, France. She then moved to Paris for four years in 1995 before returning to Beirut. Since 2020, she has been settled in London. Mireille has been teaching visual arts for 31 years and is a member of the “Salon d’Automne du Grand Palais à Paris.”

Her approach to painting is focused on geometric, vibrant compositions, rich in striking colour. The overarching message behind her work provokes her audience to find beauty and sensitivity amid all the ugliness around us. Her favorite artists are Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso, and Wajih Nahle.
